A figurehead of the British prog rock scene with Genesis, Peter Gabriel, who will turn 70 on February 13th, later became a champion of world music and an example of the politically engaged artist, through his label Real World, his Womad festivals and of course the protest song “Biko”, etched into the history books and made famous from the Amnesty.

  4. I hesitated some (quite long) while with my rating. My opinion is that Osibisa is not worth its follow-up, Woyaya. I also like the later, poppier Ojah Awake more than this one. Before getting to know this great debut album, I had listened to Osibirock and rated it , though I am not sure about it anymore. After a few listens, it feels like Osibisa was better than Osibirock.
